Once upon a time there was this baby....

Kayla smiled at Zinnia and told her, "She's your first photographer!"

All of a sudden I felt warm. My face, my heart, everything was melting. Never knew a little baby could do that to me. I've raised two sisters and have often experience that "motherly" feeling that comes with being the eldest, but this feeling was different. Mostly because it's my hobby. Mainly because these pictures are a HUGE deal. I am this baby's FIRST photographer! How crazy is that???

Nonetheless, little Zinnia must have known I was nervous because she made me go back twice to see her ;). Below is a few images of what I will call a little taste of heaven. First, there was the story of a new baby coming to this world, there was the joy of being a mother for the first time, and then there was me, documenting it all. For the first time.

Beyond all of this I knew I had met yet another part of my family. Let me explain.  Both Kayla and I, though we had never met each other, were part of a college ministry called Chi Alpha at different chapters in our lives. We knew we were family at once, never doubting that this was not so. I love this family and I can only say I hope to be little Zinnia's photographer once again.

By the way...if you did not know, this baby was made in china.
