There are some pictures that just take your breath away because they are so full of color and emotion. Some clients are lucky to get the easy breezy 70 degree sunny weather. In such cases, lighting is very warm and gives the photographer the ability to take advantage of such color. These pictures are rather easy to take, but you also need a place where there is shade, because too much sun can also ruin the picture. Then, in some cases, there are clients that are even luckier and get cloudy weather. It is here where the photographer can get more creative and get pictures that truly evoke feeling. More work yes, but more feeling goes a long way.
This was my reason for my excitement when taking pictures of Mandy's family. It was a time to get really creative with lighting, dealing with the cold, and above all, a sleepy 5 month old. Was it a little cold and wet? YES, but we had FUN.
Mandi and Dustin decided to have two locations for their photo session. One was at a fire station, where Dustin currently volunteers some time at, and the other a random park in the woodlands. ENJOY.
